The City of Las Vegas is discussing a bill that would permanently expand the types of businesses that would be eligible to deliver alcoholic beverages.
Currently, only grocery stores may obtain a delivery license in Las Vegas. If enacted, the new bill would allow any business holding a City of Las Vegas off-sale alcohol license, including restaurants and liquor stores to apply for and obtain an ancillary delivery license. Additionally, the bill would allow third-party delivery companies to apply for and obtain a delivery support services license to deliver alcoholic beverages from licensed locations to customers in the City.
The City of Las Vegas Recommending Committee discussed the bill earlier this week. Attorney Ryan Saxe from the law firm of Saltzman Mugan Dushoff testified in support of the bill on behalf of various clients. The bill is tentatively scheduled to be discussed again by the Recommending Committee in early January.
